This position operates on a 4x10 schedule, requiring three days of work between Tuesday and Friday, plus every Saturday, leading to a total of four days per week with ten hours each day. The work starts at 1:00 PM PST.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will execute a variety of standardized urinalysis tests in our advanced toxicology lab, utilizing cutting-edge LC-MS-MS technology for the detection of prescription and illicit drugs. This role involves approving reports and patient results for ordering physicians.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will be accountable for the following functions while adhering to our quality standards:
- Conducting and reporting laboratory test results for all methods sanctioned by CAP, NY, and CLIA.
- Ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of test results.
- Entering testing data and performing standardized tests on urine samples using advanced LC-MS-MS technology.
- Evaluating result validity, maintaining detailed records, and generating comprehensive reports.
- Overseeing quality control and chromatographic data prior to releasing results to physicians.
- Adhering to established quality control protocols and assisting in preparing chromatographic data reports.
- Identifying, troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving issues with test results.
- Utilizing the Laboratory Occurrence Management (LOM) form for documentation purposes.
- Serving as a resource and trainer for laboratory technicians and assistants.
- Preparing and maintaining laboratory reagents and supplies, ensuring equipment is well-maintained and the lab is orderly.
- Following safe laboratory practices while participating in operational support activities to enhance testing capabilities.
- Overseeing the activities of clinical laboratory technicians and assistants as needed.
