Based locally within assigned markets, our team fosters strong relationships with the most sought-after local and regional restaurants. As the driving force behind our revenue, we enhance the growth of small to medium-sized business (SMB) partnerships that bolster operations, accelerate consumer engagement, and positively impact our financial performance.
This role is field-based, and you should reside in or near Sacramento, CA.
Your Role as Regional Merchant Lead
As a Regional Merchant Lead (Outside Sales Representative), you will manage the complete sales process for onboarding new restaurant partners to DoorDash. This fast-paced, transactional sales role involves prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals with local and regional merchants in your designated market.
You will engage directly with restaurant owners by visiting their establishments, delivering compelling pitches, and building strong local relationships. You will introduce them to DoorDash’s diverse offerings, negotiate revenue share agreements, sell multi-product solutions, and demonstrate how partnering with DoorDash can significantly enhance their business growth.
This role requires travel within the region, with over 50% of your time spent in the field meeting with merchants (typically 2-3 days per week), along with flexibility for remote work or working from a DoorDash office. Travel may also be required for in-person training, team-building events, and other business-related necessities.
