This role involves assisting both applicants and current students throughout the financial aid process, from the initial application and eligibility assessment to award management and compliance oversight. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to helping students achieve their academic aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist students and their families in navigating the financial aid process, including FAFSA completion, verification, loan counseling, and exploring funding options.Review and process financial aid applications in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.Accurately assess student eligibility and develop award packages that align with program structures and compliance mandates.Maintain current and compliant student financial aid records within the student information system (experience with Orbund is a plus).Provide counseling to students regarding aid adjustments, repayment responsibilities, and satisfactory academic progress.Collaborate with Admissions, Registrar, and Student Accounts to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and efficient funding disbursement.Monitor changes in student eligibility and enrollment that may impact aid awards and communicate updates to students promptly.Assist the Financial Aid Director with audits and ongoing process enhancements.
