About the job
About the Opportunity
This is not your typical sales role; it offers an exciting chance to create and manage a hyperlocal magazine in your community, supported by a recognized national organization. You'll be building your own venture by developing your market, nurturing client relationships, and cultivating a sustainable revenue stream.
If you thrive on relationships and are eager to invest in business development, this position merges sales, entrepreneurship, and community leadership into one distinctive opportunity.
Position Summary
We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager (referred to as Area Directors at N2) to initiate, expand, and lead a BeLocal publication in your local area. Upon acceptance, you will function as a local publisher: generating revenue, forging partnerships with business owners, and creating a magazine that embodies the spirit of your community.
Your initial months will be dedicated to establishing your territory and building your client base. Following that, you will develop an asset that you own.
This hybrid role combines in-person community engagement with work done from your home office.
Who You Are
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated: you find excitement in building something, not just maintaining it.
- A natural relationship builder with strong consultative sales skills.
- Driven by a desire to help local businesses thrive.
- Confident in leveraging N2's proven system while making it your own.
What You'll Do
- Conduct consultative meetings with local business owners to establish enduring advertising partnerships.
- Foster meaningful connections within the community through a proven engagement model.
- Connect local businesses with their target customers via your publication.
- Engage with homeowners to gather genuine, community-centered content.
- Oversee your territory, sales pipeline, and publication operations.
- Collaborate with N2's national team for design, production, training, and ongoing support.
- Steer your publication's growth as the leading representative of Stroll in your market.
What You’ll Love
- Ownership, Not Just Employment – Build and manage your own local publication business.
- Flexible Schedule – Tailor your work hours to fit your lifestyle.
- Comprehensive Training – Access proven, repeatable systems to ensure your success.
