You will work varied schedules that include days, evenings, and weekends. During your externship, you will have the opportunity to engage closely with our team of veterinarians, practicing problem-solving, technical, and communication skills acquired during your studies. You will work alongside our veterinary staff, participating in all facets of patient care. A stipend of $250 per week will be offered to support you during your externship. Your Responsibilities: As an extern, you will experience a typical caseload in a small animal practice. Under the guidance of your mentor, you will gather patient histories, conduct physical exams, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, assist in surgeries, manage medical cases, provide wellness care, improve your client communication skills, refine your technical abilities, and maintain accurate medical records (SOAP notes) efficiently.
