Conducts comprehensive assessments of building components, focusing on HVAC systems across District sites. Utilizes a variety of digital devices (e.g., tablets, laptops, smartphones) for accurate data entry. Applies extensive knowledge in building construction to detect systems concealed behind walls, ceilings, and floors. Evaluates the condition and remaining service life of HVAC components, providing analysis and guidance on RSL values specific to LAUSD, as directed by FCA Unit leadership. Collaborates effectively with other trade surveyors to compile necessary measurements, quantities, and baseline data. Participates in and supports additional surveys related to District sites and buildings as needed. May oversee staff and survey participants, serving as a resource for team members.
