We specialize in a wide array of services including community planning, area and neighborhood planning, zoning and land use regulations, revitalization strategies, environmental planning, grant services, and impactful community engagement.The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in municipal planning, showcasing expertise in comprehensive planning, zoning, public engagement, and effective implementation strategies that assist Virginia communities in realizing their long-term goals. Exceptional writing, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills are crucial for success in this role.We seek a self-motivated, collaborative individual who is enthusiastic about contributing to municipal planning endeavors. Key responsibilities include:Developing detailed reports and analyses, encompassing comprehensive plans, land use studies, and neighborhood or downtown revitalization strategies.Leading and facilitating public meetings, workshops, and engagement events to gather meaningful community feedback.Drafting and revising zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations, and other land use tools.Preparing and managing grant applications to support municipal projects and programs.Overseeing project management, including scheduling, budgets, deliverables, and communication with municipal clients.Nurturing and maintaining relationships with municipal clients, including the preparation of proposals and presentations to boards and councils.
