We are seeking a highly skilled IT DevOps Support Manager for our esteemed client located in Richardson, TX. The ideal candidate will lead a dedicated team of 8-12 Network Operations Support Agents, providing them with support, direction, and exemplary leadership.
The DevOps Support Manager will leverage their outstanding leadership abilities and technical expertise to improve all facets of Operational Support, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service. A comprehensive understanding of the OSS/BSS Stack is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of the OSS Application.
- Lead the testing and documentation processes for the OSS Application.
- Monitor the status of Network/System issues and guide resolution strategies.
- Collaborate with the development team to tackle complex issues.
- Assist in maintaining documentation provided by the OSS Engineering teams.
- Interface with project management, internal teams, and external partners.
- Manage the creation of Linux/Unix-based scripts for automation purposes.
- Document all SQL queries and scripts utilized by the Operations team within a repository such as TFS.
- Design and execute a knowledge base for Network Provisioning related to the OSS Systems for customer-facing Operations teams.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and monthly system releases.
- Engage with legacy applications as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is required, along with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: A bachelor's degree combined with five (5) years of software development experience and three (3) years in a team or project lead role.
Essential Job Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of Unix Systems with an OSS Systems focus (Samba, Bash, Python).
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server development.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with client-side web technologies, including JavaScript/jQuery, Node, Knockout.js, and Angular.js is preferred.
- Basic experience with C#.
- Experience with Team Foundation Server.
- Skilled in writing documentation and SQL reporting.
- Experience with system deployment processes.
