Job Overview The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager with project setup, management, and closeout, ensuring project goals are achieved by strategically planning, scheduling, and executing project activities from initiation to completion. This position is based at our regional office in Sparks, Nevada, with initial duties at a jobsite located in McCarran, Nevada. Ensure compliance with all WPI policies, procedures, and safety programs. Actively contribute to the safety initiatives and protocols of assigned projects. Scrutinize contract documents, including the scope of work and specific provisions, ensuring all project team members are fully informed. Assist in the procurement process, including obtaining material, subcontractor, and engineering quotes. Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and shop drawings as required. Support and conduct site visits while attending job meetings as necessary. Evaluate change requests and promptly update the project budget. Compile, review, and report weekly production metrics. Analyze the weekly job cost report with the project Foreman and team members. Manage billing processes and approve invoices for payment. Monitor project progress and expenditures, ensuring completion within the established timeline and budget. Assist in implementing job schedules effectively. Coordinate warranties, operation and maintenance manuals, and project closeout documentation.
