We are seeking a skilled and proactive FIX Connectivity Consultant with a strong background in scripting and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to receive training in FIX from experienced managers.
Your role will involve analyzing data processing challenges in electronic trading systems, maintaining and supporting FIX connections across various asset classes including equities, futures, options, and FX. You will also manage a continuous program for onboarding new clients, working closely with external Order Management System (OMS) vendors, network vendors, and electronic trading desks to prioritize tasks and track issues effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting all Direct Market Access (DMA) and algorithmic trading flows across multiple asset classes.
- Maintaining FIX systems and order routing infrastructure.
- Researching and analyzing new functionalities to enhance trading capabilities.
- Resolving issues by collaborating with different IT support teams, development teams, and external vendors for swift problem resolution.
- Proactively managing FIX infrastructure to identify and mitigate issues before they impact clients.
- Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for clients and configuring UAT FIX systems, including emergency tests.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, along with at least three years of experience in FIX certification/onboarding, support of FIX and/or order management systems, Unix, Perl, SQL, and software configuration management. Familiarity with futures and foreign exchange (FUT/FX) is a plus.
