As an integral part of our Permitting & Compliance Department, you will monitor active utility and construction sites throughout New York, focusing on erosion and sediment control to facilitate successful project outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Conduct full-time environmental and agricultural monitoring for electric transmission line or renewable energy construction projects in compliance with New York State Public Service Law Article VII, AVIII, or 94-c.Ensure all construction activities align with Environmental Management and Construction Plans (EM&CP).Perform daily inspections of construction zones, including access roads, structure sites, laydown yards, and restoration areas.Document compliance with regulations related to wetlands, water bodies, erosion, sediment controls, and sensitive resources.Act as the primary on-site representative for identifying non-compliance and directing corrective measures.Collaborate with construction supervisors, contractors, and project managers to address environmental and agricultural compliance issues promptly.Verify installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures as per NYS standards and project specifications.Coordinate agricultural monitoring efforts with landowners and farm operators.Prepare comprehensive technical environmental reports and maintain organized documentation.Keep consistent field notes and daily logs using company templates, ensuring accuracy and completeness.This position is perfect for individuals with hands-on construction, inspection, or site work experience who enjoy outdoor work and take pride in precise reporting.

Trueline is on the lookout for an experienced Senior Estimator / Senior Project Manager to enhance our team at the Poughkeepsie, NY office. This role involves local travel across Dutchess, Rockland, Westchester, Orange, and Ulster Counties. In this dynamic hybrid role, you will spearhead bid preparation and take charge of project execution from initiation to close-out, offering an exceptional opportunity to influence significant public works projects within a collaborative and value-driven environment.Your Responsibilities as the Senior Estimator / Senior Project Manager:Oversee the estimating process for heavy civil infrastructure projects (road reconstruction, culverts/bridges, drainage, utilities), including bid document interpretation and detailed quantity take-offs.Develop cost estimates and bid packages for public sector work (NYSDOT, DEP, OGS, TANY, MNRR) and municipal projects.Manage subcontractor buyouts, purchase orders, value engineering assessments, and cost-saving initiatives.Establish project initiation documentation, electronic file systems, schedules (Primavera), permits, submittals, HASP, and EEO participation compliance.Lead comprehensive project execution: collaborate with superintendents/engineers, track cost codes and budgets, handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and correspondence with owners/agencies.Ensure quality, safety, and compliance on-site; maintain client relationships; source long-lead materials; and monitor subcontractor performance.Direct project closeout: manage final owner payments, subcontractor/supplier payables, punch lists, turnover, and financial wrap-up.Qualifications Required as the Senior Estimator / Senior Project Manager:A minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy highway, site development, or public works infrastructure construction.Proven track record managing projects valued at up to approximately $20M.Extensive estimating experience, with proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid and scheduling expertise in Primavera.Direct experience collaborating with NYSDOT, OGS, DEP, and municipal infrastructure (e.g., TANY, MNRR) and familiarity with bidding/public works protocols.Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, lead field and office teams, and foster strong client relationships.Exceptional communication and leadership skills; adept at interfacing with field, office, subcontractors, owners, and agencies.Proficient with MS Office Suite.Must reside in (or be willing to commute from) Dutchess, Rockland, Westchester, Orange, or Ulster County; commuting from the NYC metro area is not feasible.Preferred Qualifications as the Senior Estimator / Senior Project Manager:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Previous experience with municipal and DOT bidding and contract administration in the Hudson Valley area.Familiarity with union/non-union conditions and labor regulations.
