The Application Modernization Platform (AMP) team is addressing one of the industry's most significant challenges: harnessing Generative AI to modernize rigid, legacy applications into agile, microservices-based architectures utilizing MongoDB. We are developing a comprehensive SaaS-like platform that integrates both the "brain" (multi-agent reasoning and orchestration) and the "hands" (the deployment platform and modernization toolset). This solution demands a solid platform foundation and infrastructure tailored for a "build once, run anywhere" model, guaranteeing seamless operation regardless of client-specific security or network requirements. A crucial challenge lies in fine-tuning our tools for each customer's distinct tech stack and restrictive environments while ensuring they remain easily extensible and scalable for common application modernization challenges. We are in search of an engineering leader for this high-visibility initiative. This role involves defining the overarching strategy and technical direction across all AMP engineering pillars, spearheading the resolution of uniquely intricate application modernization challenges, and delivering a product of enterprise-grade quality. The leader will work to minimize deployment friction, meet compliance requirements, and contribute to the evolution of how global enterprises harness GenAI. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who excels in leveraging GenAI capabilities, architecting complex distributed systems, and designing orchestration agents that ensure the reliable and fluid execution of the entire software development lifecycle. We are particularly interested in candidates based in Palo Alto for our hybrid working model.
