Everyone has the chance to lead by example. Role Overview The Platform Software Engineer joins a team responsible for building and maintaining backend services. Areas include payment processing, analytics, subscription management, new product development, text-to-speech features, and external API integrations. This role involves strategic thinking, technical skill, and a drive to improve user experience. Speechify operates with a flat structure. Team members are encouraged to take initiative and deliver high-quality work. Strong communication and a focus on outcomes matter here. What You Will Do Design, build, and maintain APIs, including the public TTS API and internal services for payment, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. Ensure backend APIs are scalable, high-performing, and easy to maintain. Contribute to B2B solutions by customizing and integrating backend services for enterprise clients. Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product goals and improve user experience.
