Position Overview
As a Sterile IV Compounding Technician, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and compounding of intravenous medications under the supervision of an infusion pharmacist. Your expertise will ensure the safe and precise preparation of IV medications for our patients.
Work Schedule
- In-Person (Orange, CA).
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Compounding IV medications by accurately measuring and mixing sterile solutions and additives in accordance with established protocols and guidelines, while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Labeling and packaging compounded IV medications to ensure clarity and compliance with patient information, including medication name, dosage, and expiration date.
- Managing inventory levels of IV medications, ensuring accuracy in quantities and lot numbers, and overseeing the ordering and restocking of supplies as necessary.
- Implementing quality control standards to maintain the integrity, sterility, and safety of compounded IV medications through regular inspections and equipment maintenance.
- Participating in environmental monitoring and maintaining logs for compliance with safety and quality regulations.
