As Southern California's leading paving contractor, we are seeking a skilled Mechanic to become a vital part of our production team in Orange, California, serving the entire Southern California region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive service and repairs on all assigned vehicles and equipment independently.
- Provide mobile and emergency repair services for equipment or vehicles in the field.
- Establish and implement a preventative maintenance program and service schedule.
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment are operating correctly and safely.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues effectively.
- Work proficiently on gasoline and diesel engines, as well as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
- Manage pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports to track and execute necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Train truck drivers and operators on proper vehicle inspection and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to perform all essential duties effectively. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
2-5 years of experience as a mechanic or repair technician.
A valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
Physical Qualifications:
Candidates should be prepared to meet the physical demands of the job, which may involve lifting and moving heavy equipment.
