About the job
Join our innovative team at arxlight-ai as a Flight Software and GNC Engineer, where you will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge algorithms that empower our vehicles to navigate intricate environments and perform precise maneuvers. Your role will serve as a vital link between theoretical flight physics and practical software application, optimizing stability and performance across all flight scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Flight Dynamics Modeling: Create advanced 6-DOF (Degrees of Freedom) simulations to accurately forecast vehicle behavior.
- Control Law Design: Engineer, fine-tune, and evaluate flight control laws using both Classical (PID, Root Locus, Bode) and Modern (LQR/LQG, H-infinity, State-Space) methodologies.
- Navigation & Estimation: Develop sensor fusion algorithms (e.g., Extended Kalman Filters) to generate precise state estimates leveraging IMU, GPS, and star tracker data.
- Guidance Algorithms: Innovate trajectory generation and path-planning algorithms for autonomous mission execution.
- Performance Analysis: Execute Monte Carlo simulations and Linear Stability Analysis (Gain/Phase margins) to verify system robustness.
- Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL): Facilitate the integration of GNC software with relevant flight hardware and sensors.
