AECOM is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Field Wildlife Biologist (Biologist III) to contribute to California's vital surface transportation initiatives in the North Bay Area. *This role is primarily field-based and on-call, with hours varying based on project needs. Travel to the North Bay area is mandatory.
Your primary responsibility will be to support a transportation client in northern California, particularly focusing on the North Bay Area regions of Marin, Napa, Sonoma, and Solano Counties. This position emphasizes impact analysis of biological and aquatic resources, including biological monitoring, field surveys, and detailed reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys for special-status wildlife and nesting birds.
- Perform surveys for special-status plants and vegetation mapping.
- Serve as a field lead or task manager on projects.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
- Prepare comprehensive reports documenting survey findings and contribute to leading the authorship of these reports.
- Actively participate as a collaborative and supportive member of AECOM’s Environmental Planning and Permitting team in the SF Bay Area.
- Regular travel to the North Bay Area is required.
