Qualifications
Responsibilities:Direct the technical delivery of small to medium land development projects, ensuring top-tier design and execution. Manage financial aspects including budgeting, invoicing, and monthly billing. Supervise and mentor engineering staff, supporting their career growth. Organize project tasks, delegate assignments, and coordinate team efforts efficiently. Act as the professional-in-charge, making final decisions and providing expertise on complex technical matters. Oversee grading, drainage, and utility design (water and sewer) for site development projects. Ensure the preparation of reports, master planning studies, specifications, and cost estimates are completed accurately. Maintain quality control (QA/QC) and identify any out-of-scope services to uphold project integrity. Collaborate with design teams to provide training and technical support across departments. Prepare project proposals including scope, schedule, and fee estimates for both new and ongoing projects. Serve as the primary contact for clients, attending project meetings and managing sub-consultants. Apply knowledge of federal, state, and local standards to guarantee regulatory compliance. Contribute to business development efforts by cross-selling services and identifying new opportunities. Requirements:B. S. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited program (required).7+ years of progressive experience in land development projects, encompassing residential and commercial subdivisions, site design, utilities, roadways, and public works. Professional Engineer (P. E.) license in California (required). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage teams and projects effectively. Proficiency in relevant design software and engineering principles.
