Key Responsibilities
- Set up, draft, convert, produce, and modify MEP plans utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Oversee project file organization, including file locations, names, layers, and symbology in accordance with SH Group CAD/BIM standards.
- Facilitate CAD/BIM coordination across projects.
- Actively contribute to the project design team, demonstrating initiative and ownership over project deliverables.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings, collaborating closely with project teams to understand CAD/BIM requirements and their implications.
- Guide and mentor CAD/BIM technicians in the workflow of project setup and creation of detailed drawings from redlined documents.
- Assess project-level workflows and propose enhancements to Syska's CAD/BIM capabilities and processes.
- Work with project designers and managers to ensure project objectives, deadlines, and CAD/BIM standards are met, while identifying inefficiencies.
- Address and resolve inquiries and challenges faced by project stakeholders.
- Initiate new projects of various types and sizes, coordinating drawings and models for MEP engineers while prioritizing tasks and facilitating communication with design teams.
- Conduct rapid clash and coordination checks on projects, advocating for the importance of collaboration.
- Adhere to documentation and standards requirements, tracking project data as specified by the NBT, and assist with local training of the design team and workflow processes.
