The Associate Director, Activation at Mediabrands takes ownership of campaign success and pacing for assigned brands. This role ensures departmental standards and processes are fully understood and put into practice. As a senior escalation point, the Associate Director offers advanced guidance on complex campaign setups, optimization strategies, and platform-specific requirements.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mid- to senior-level client stakeholders, acting as the main customer relationship manager and enhancing client capabilities.
- Oversee vendor selection, approve vendors and scopes, and guide team interactions based on subject matter expertise.
- Adapt departmental standards and processes to fit the unique needs of each client, implementing these across all campaigns. Advise on advanced campaign setups, troubleshooting, and optimization. Evaluate vendor capabilities through RFIs and demos.
- Lead the design of reporting dashboards and presentations, ensuring clarity and accuracy in communicating campaign results.
- Develop long-term, custom solutions for clients, including tailored data management and analytics approaches.
- Manage a small team of managers and professionals, focusing on their performance, development, and coaching.
- Adjust account plans and priorities to address resource constraints and operational needs.
- Work closely with partners and colleagues across different functions and centers of excellence.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience building new business relationships and developing creative solutions using both established and new processes.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for managing relationships at all organizational levels.
- Deep knowledge of ad tech and measurement platforms, including DV360, Adwords, The Trade Desk, Roku, Vistar, Facebook, and Snapchat.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in data analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners across multiple functions.
- Accountability for performance, development, and results across small or multiple client accounts, including decisions on account management, budget allocation, and staffing.
- Experience providing technical guidance to team members, colleagues, and clients.
- Track record of effective team management and mentorship, with strong communication skills for both internal and external audiences.
