Your Role as a Software Engineer, Security Observability
We are looking for a Software Engineer specializing in Security Observability to enhance our Security team. In this pivotal role, you will design and implement secure, scalable systems that elevate our security observability framework. Utilizing your engineering prowess, you will partner with diverse teams to develop, deploy, and maintain resilient software solutions that bolster our security and detection capabilities. This position is available for remote work, or you may choose to relocate to one of our OpenAI offices situated in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City.
Your Responsibilities:
Create and implement scalable software systems that enhance security observability across our infrastructure.
Develop and sustain data pipelines that centralize and securely store security-related data from various sources.
Continuously enhance the resilience and reliability of data systems to guarantee high platform availability.
Collaborate closely with Detection & Response (D&R) and other security teams to mitigate security risks.
Support data engineering for forensic investigations and compliance initiatives.
You May Be a Great Fit If You Have:
Extensive software engineering experience, proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, or similar.
Experience with infrastructure as code, utilizing tools like Terraform and working with cloud platforms such as Azure.
Track record of building and maintaining data pipelines, especially for security-centric applications.
A versatile engineering mindset, able to navigate various technical challenges seamlessly.
