About the job
About the Team
At OpenAI, we are dedicated to advancing artificial general intelligence (AGI) to positively impact all of humanity. Our ambitious mission attracts the brightest minds in science, engineering, and business to collaborate in our innovative environment.
The Go To Market (GTM) team plays a crucial role in guiding customers on how to effectively utilize and implement our cutting-edge AI products within their organizations. This dynamic team consists of professionals from Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnerships, all working in unison to develop impactful solutions that expand AI accessibility.
About the Role
This position is located in our New York City or San Francisco office, requiring in-office attendance three days a week. Relocation assistance is available for new hires.
This role bridges the gap between Product and GTM strategy.
We are looking for a GTM Product Enablement Lead who will be responsible for transforming how OpenAI’s products are executed in the field. This is not a conventional enablement position focused solely on training or content; instead, it involves creating the systems, workflows, and feedback mechanisms that make our rapidly evolving products comprehensible, marketable, and scalable within the GTM framework.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure that product advancements are seamlessly integrated into GTM readiness. You will design and operationalize new product launches, while also ensuring that field insights inform future product and GTM strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the comprehensive product enablement system, including onboarding, product launches, and ongoing education.
Simplify complex technical products (APIs, AI systems, workflows) into clear GTM narratives, use cases, and playbooks.
Develop scalable systems—beyond mere content—that empower teams to keep pace with rapid product development.
Work closely with Product and Engineering to grasp new capabilities and guarantee effective field readiness.
Create feedback loops from GTM to Product to guide roadmap, positioning, and packaging choices.
Establish and monitor key performance metrics (ramp time, product adoption, deal velocity) to evaluate enablement efficacy.
Identify gaps within GTM workflows and devise solutions that enhance how teams sell, position, and deploy products.
