About Somethings
Somethings is pioneering the first social wellness platform tailored for teens, providing a space where young individuals can cultivate meaningful relationships with mentors who truly understand and support them.
In the U. S., 25 million teens are grappling with mental health challenges. Every teen who joins Somethings seeks genuine connection and assistance. Our mission is to ensure that they not only engage with our platform but also connect with empathetic mentors who are dedicated to helping them thrive.
Backed by General Catalyst and leading healthcare and consumer investors, we are experiencing rapid growth — in 2025 we saw a remarkable 1100% increase, secured $15M in Series A funding, and aim to quintuple our growth in 2026.
If you aspire to be part of a transformative company in the mental health sector, we warmly welcome you.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Chief of Staff to collaborate closely with our CEO and propel the company forward.
This role transcends traditional project management; it is designed for an exceptional individual who has demonstrated the ability to operate at a high level and wants to be central to one of the most significant mental health initiatives today. You will be actively involved in enterprise health plan negotiations, board discussions, hiring decisions, and pivotal strategic initiatives. Your role will be hands-on, allowing you to execute rather than merely observe.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work more closely with Patrick than anyone else in the company. The core of this position is simple yet demanding: identify the most critical priorities and ensure their completion — thoroughly, independently, and without needing reminders.
If this resonates with your operational style, we encourage you to continue reading. If it feels like a challenge, this may not be the right fit.
In the immediate term, your responsibilities will include:
Recruitment: Overseeing sourcing, managing the hiring pipeline, and executing recruitment for key positions across the organization.
Sales and Commercial: Assisting in the preparation for enterprise health plan partnerships, including producing materials, conducting research, and ensuring operational follow-through.
Research and Strategy: Performing comprehensive market, competitive, and policy research that directly influences our growth and positioning strategy.
As the company evolves, this role will adapt and expand, offering the right candidate increasing ownership and scope.
