Role Summary:
The Senior Bank Regulatory Counsel will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic legal guidance on intricate bank regulatory, trust, and stablecoin issues to Payoneer’s leadership. This position is based in New York and reports directly to the Global Regulatory Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel to navigate Payoneer's complex bank regulatory landscape.
- Foster and maintain productive relationships with external stakeholders, including U. S. banking regulators and government agencies.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on rapidly evolving banking regulations at both federal and state levels, staying informed on issues and regulatory changes that could impact Payoneer’s strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary.
- Support cross-functional teams, including business, finance, and treasury, in developing innovative services while promoting interdepartmental collaboration.
Who You Are:
- A fully qualified attorney with outstanding academic credentials, licensed to practice in the United States, and possessing at least 5 years of post-admission experience in a prestigious law firm or relevant in-house legal department.
- Proven experience within the financial services and banking sectors is essential.
- Direct engagement with bank regulators and regulatory authorities is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills to assess factual scenarios, identify legal issues, interpret statutes and regulations, and provide actionable recommendations.
- An innovative thinker comfortable navigating complex regulatory frameworks.
