As a Creature FX Technical Director at Framestore, you will play a pivotal role in creating stunning dynamic simulations for character-based projects. Your expertise will cover a broad spectrum including clothing, hair, muscle, and skin simulations, as well as post-simulation sculpting and finalization.
The primary responsibilities of the Creature FX Technical Director include:
Designing and implementing simulation rigs for characters and creatures utilizing Maya nCloth, nHair, and various other proprietary tools.
Executing shots with simulation rigs and delivering polished assets to the Lighting department.
Collaborating with Modeling, Rigging, Animation, Lighting, and Groom departments to ensure a seamless creature workflow.
Contributing to the development of innovative departmental tools and techniques.
Adhering to schedules and deadlines while upholding high-quality standards.
Presenting work to leads, supervisors, and clients while incorporating feedback effectively.
Maintaining clear communication with production teams regarding timelines and project requirements.
Staying updated with new tools, software, and technologies relevant to the role.
Working efficiently as an independent contributor or as part of a collaborative team to complete assigned shots.
