About the Role Our software development team is expanding, and we seek talented engineers to play a crucial role in one of the following domains: Data Platform, Simulation, or Technical Infrastructure. Data Platform: This platform functions as a comprehensive management system for the data, labels, and metrics of the Nuro AI Driver, ensuring seamless access and functionality. The team focuses on data annotation across various domains, including 2D/3D perception, mapping, behavior trajectory, and language/text. It also manages data ingestion and mining, employing techniques such as heuristics and embedding search, while supporting the autonomy evaluation infrastructure with detailed introspection. Simulation: The Simulation team develops the simulator that enables us to innovate and test our autonomous driving technology within a virtual environment. We work on the core simulator and simulation frameworks, sensor simulation, scenario generation, and solutions that blend real-world data with synthetic methods to extend the limits of simulation, collaborating closely with teams across Autonomy and AI Platform for realistic and reliable simulations at scale. Technical Infrastructure: This group manages several fundamental services for the entire engineering organization: a generic compute platform for hosting mission-critical workflows such as data processing and simulation, a storage management service overseeing hundreds of petabytes of data, and a cloud infrastructure serving as Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) to provision and maintain all cloud resources. Additionally, engineering productivity tools like build and CI/CD enhance efficiency. About You You possess extensive expertise and prior experience in some or many of the following areas: 5+ years of relevant industry experience coupled with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
