Engineering at Teads: Key Challenges
- Build efficient, user-friendly web products that serve thousands of users from top publishers, advertisers, and agencies.
- Work with a broad technology stack and system architecture, focusing on performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency. The main languages are Scala and TypeScript.
- Operate in a high-traffic setting: 2.2 billion users monthly, 100 billion events daily, with strict requirements for low latency and high availability (handling 2 million requests per second, with responses in under 150 milliseconds).
- Handle large datasets that require millisecond-level access to support complex auction algorithms in near real-time (processing 18 million predictions per second).
- Collaborate closely with product teams and adapt cloud infrastructure to support new features and product improvements.
