About the job
Join Actionstep, a trailblazer in SaaS Legal Practice Management software, where we empower over 40,000 users across the USA, Australia, UK, Canada, and New Zealand. Our innovative platform enables law firms to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and dedicate their focus to their core expertise—practicing law.
Our dynamic Sales Team fosters strong, trustworthy relationships that fuel business expansion. While our Account Executives offer legal and operational insights, our Technical Solutions Engineers provide profound platform expertise—configuring, integrating, and demonstrating how Actionstep effectively supports mid-to-large law firms.
We are currently seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer based in Brisbane to collaborate closely with our ANZ Sales team and Regional VP.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will serve as the technical expert throughout the sales process. You will convert business and operational needs into customized solution designs, set up advanced demonstration environments, and validate complex integrations through Proof of Concept phases.
Operating at the crossroads of Sales, Product, and Engineering, you will ensure that Actionstep’s platform is credibly positioned, accurately configured, and technically validated in intricate purchasing environments.
This consultative, hands-on position is ideal for someone who excels in solution design, integration architecture, and engaging with senior stakeholders.
The Role
- Collaborate with Account Executives to convert operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Configure customized demo and POC environments, including workflows, automations, templates, and integrations.
- Lead technical discovery discussions and confidently showcase platform capabilities to IT, Finance, Operations, and Practice Management stakeholders.
- Design and demonstrate integrations with systems such as iManage, NetDocuments, Microsoft 365, financial platforms, and reporting tools.
- Offer API-level guidance and architectural insight regarding platform extensibility, security, data residency, and compliance.
- Assist with data migration planning, mapping, validation, and reconciliation from legacy practice management systems.
- Contribute to technical RFP/RFI responses, documenting configuration, integration, and feasibility requirements.
- Keep thorough documentation of solution designs, recurring technical requirements, and identified product gaps.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to affirm integration scope and enhance platform functionality as necessary.
- Continuously seek improvements to technical sales processes, collateral, and cross-functional collaboration.
