The role centers on designing, developing, and implementing embedded systems and mechatronic devices, supporting the advancement of products across several industries. Role overview The Mid-Level Functional Modeling Engineer collaborates with both hardware and software teams to integrate and validate complex systems. This work includes tasks in HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), MiL (Model-in-the-Loop), and SiL (Software-in-the-Loop) environments. The position requires hands-on involvement from concept to validation, ensuring that systems meet performance and reliability standards. What you will do Design and develop electronic circuits and systems, working with analog and digital components, microcontrollers, and sensor/actuator interfaces. Select and evaluate electronic components to improve performance and reliability. Build prototypes, conduct tests, and refine designs to achieve functional requirements. Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware and software. Design and implement mechatronic systems that combine mechanical, electrical, and software elements. Develop control algorithms for motion and feedback control in mechatronic applications. Analyze sensor and actuator data to enhance system performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in mechatronic systems. Create embedded software applications using Python and C++. Use Python for rapid prototyping, automation, and data analysis; apply C++ for performance-critical and low-level hardware programming. Write efficient, resource-conscious code for real-time applications. Develop and execute test plans for circuits, mechatronic systems, and embedded software. Perform thorough testing and validation to ensure quality, reliability, and safety. Produce technical documentation for electronic, mechatronic, and software systems. Communicate technical information clearly to colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
