As we expand our operations in Mexico, we are excited to invite a foundational team member for our Mexican entity.
The Role
In this pivotal position, you will be the local steward of Outpost's Mexican entity, ensuring compliance, financial health, and operational excellence. This hands-on role encompasses accounting, tax compliance, and daily operations management. Collaboration with our global operations and finance teams, as well as external advisors including local legal counsel, will be key to your success.
Responsibilities
Finance & Tax Compliance
Lead all statutory accounting and financial reporting for the Mexican entity.
Oversee tax filings and compliance obligations with the SAT, including IVA, IEPS, ISR, and monthly/annual declarations.
Ensure accurate and timely CFDI issuance, adhering to SAT requirements.
Manage relationships with local tax advisors and external auditors.
Monitor SAT regulatory updates and assess their implications for Outpost and our merchants.
Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany compliance in collaboration with the global finance team.
Operations
Oversee merchant onboarding for Mexican transactions, coordinating with our global operations team.
Manage local banking relationships and cash flow for the entity.
Support commercial operations including contracts, vendor management, and regulatory correspondence.
Act as the primary local liaison for regulators, auditors, and banking partners.
Coordinate with PSP partners in Mexico on operational and compliance issues.
Desired Qualifications
Licensed Contador Público (CPA) with active professional credentials.
Proven experience in finance, accounting, or operations management.
Strong understanding of Mexican tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
