CCG Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer III to drive process, product, and component excellence. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement quality plans, oversee supplier performance, and support procedural development and change order analysis, reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Approve and validate inspection procedures for production circuit cards and complete system assemblies.
- Assist in incoming inspections to guarantee compliance of components and suppliers for inventory acceptance.
- Generate and maintain performance reports and analysis for internal quality metrics (DPMO, first pass yield, etc.).
- Evaluate performance data to identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
- Create and manage customer-specific Quality Plans.
- Deliver weekly reports and insights on quality data to management.
- Act as a technical leader in interactions with customers and suppliers.
- Provide technical support on customer product specifications, including labels and assembly requirements.
- Implement and monitor statistical process controls.
- Establish controls in accordance with ISO 13485/9001, AS9100, and customer standards.
- Lead teams in generating corrective and preventative actions utilizing CAPA, 8D, and 5-Why methodologies.
- Offer quality support to product processes and related personnel.
- Conduct training for QA Technicians, Operations, and junior engineers.
- Engage in quality teams to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Manage and publish Quality Assurance Performance Reports, detailing process yield and defect analyses.
- Review data for compliance with specifications.
- Conduct Internal Quality Audits and prepare for external audits.
- Create and manage procedural and process documentation.
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
- Recommend Design for Manufacturing (DFM) or Design for Test (DFT) analyses for improvements.
- Facilitate the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Provide New Production Introduction (NPI) support to product teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Occasional travel to customer or supplier locations may be required.
- Ensure ESD integrity in the production environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and accuracy in the work area.
- Train technicians and operators in system and procedural functions.
- Engage in ongoing training to further enhance expertise.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required by the business.
