The team explores new ways for people to interact with technology, focusing on user-centered design and collaboration. Projects span interactive systems, advanced sensing, wearables, IoT, and multimodal interfaces, all aimed at improving how users experience technology. Role Overview This is a 12-month contract position based in Markham, Ontario. The AI/ML Researcher will work on developing and prototyping artificial intelligence and machine learning models for next-generation products, including smartphones, smart glasses, and wearables. Main Responsibilities Prototype and implement AI and ML models to support development of intelligent consumer products. Conduct literature reviews and collaborate with internal teams to explore new concepts. Evaluate model performance, optimize AI solutions, and strengthen product-level AI features. Present research findings to internal teams and partner with product groups to move prototypes toward real-world solutions. Compensation Total compensation for this contract (based on 2,080 hours annually) ranges from $106,000 to $156,000, depending on education, experience, and expertise.
