Join Huawei Canada as an Intern Researcher in AI Agent Evaluation!
The Distributed Scheduling and Data Engine Lab, established in 2014, serves as Huawei Cloud's technical innovation hub in Canada. Our lab is dedicated to pioneering research and development in advanced cloud technologies, facilitating the productization and continual enhancement of our technical breakthroughs. We focus on cutting-edge areas such as cloud-native databases, intelligent SQL engines, LLM/Agent infrastructure, and LLM/Agent Evaluation Technology. Our collaborative environment with industry experts empowers us to build a competitive cloud platform.
About the Role:
Engage in groundbreaking research aimed at enhancing the capabilities and evaluation methods of large language model-based agents, contributing to the development of the next generation of dependable AI systems.
Your focus will be on tackling fundamental challenges associated with deploying AI agents in complex, long-term tasks, particularly in managing context, reasoning under uncertainty, and ensuring consistent behavior.
You will employ formal reasoning, causal inference, and theoretical foundations in your research strategies to deeply understand agent behavior across various environments.
This position is research-centric, requiring you to define complex problems, conduct thorough experiments, and contribute to publishable findings rather than developing production-ready systems.
The ultimate goal is to create principled methods and theoretical underpinnings that drive significant advancements in agent evaluation and autonomous reasoning.
