We are a creative, social-first agency seeking a Social Editor who understands that for social media content to grab attention, it needs more than just flair or polish. What is a Social Editor?Simply put, envision the intersection of two circles with something humorous in the middle. A Venn diagram, if we want to be technical. One circle represents Art Direction, another for Design, and the third—yes, this has three circles—represents Video Editing. In the center, you would find: you, the Social Editor. If we were to describe this role in 2016, it would have been something like “Digital Art Director/Video Editor.” Thankfully, it’s 2026.In short, the Social Editor is responsible for creating nearly everything that engages viewers as they scroll through their feeds. What experience are we looking for? This isn’t your very first job. However, you shouldn’t be ready to say “I’m tired, boss.” We’re looking for someone with a couple of years of experience, but not too much.If you need a specific number: 51 months. Typically between 1 to 2 years, leaning more towards 2 than 1. It’s important that this experience comes from working in an agency, a brand, a media outlet, or alongside a YouTuber, an e-sports, or sports team. What will your daily tasks include?Creating memes.Editing TikToks using CapCut, Premiere, or even TikTok’s built-in editor if you prefer.Exploring Pinterest, Cosmos, and Hola for inspiration. You never know where you’ll find a good reference, along with plenty of browsing on TikTok and IG.Designing logos, graphics, subtitles, or whatever else the video you’ll be editing needs.Creating presentations to pitch ideas.Designing the boards that will be included in the presentations for selling ideas.Conceptualizing the ideas for the boards that will be included in the presentations.Staying updated on visual trends, formats, resources, and editing structures.
