In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-performance embedded and systems software that facilitates real-time quantum error correction and classical control at scale. Your work will involve the integration of NVIDIA high-speed interconnects with quantum error-correction decoding pipelines, collaborating closely with quantum software, physics, and hardware teams.This is a senior-level individual contributor position where you will independently manage complex subsystems from start to finish within an established architecture, tackle technically challenging issues, liaise directly with external partners, and mentor junior engineers, without defining the long-term platform architecture. You will also act as the primary point of contact for subsystem hardware integration with NVIDIA’s NVQLink.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role, you will be entrusted with:Independently designing, implementing, validating, and maintaining embedded and systems-level software subsystems that support real-time quantum error correction and control.Translating quantum error-correction specifications (code distance, syndrome rates, latency budgets) into precise classical compute, memory, and interconnect requirements.Designing systems that fulfill deterministic latency, bandwidth, and reliability criteria across CPU, GPU, FPGA, and high-speed interconnect domains.Serving as the technical advisor for NVIDIA NVQLink integration, encompassing topology, bandwidth modeling, latency characterization, and failure analysis. This role involves direct collaboration with NVIDIA personnel, as well as experts from academia and U.S. national laboratories.Working in close partnership with Quantum Software, Physics, Electrical, and Systems Engineering teams to co-design hardware/software interfaces.Troubleshooting and resolving intricate performance, scaling, and integration challenges across firmware, drivers, operating systems (Embedded Linux/bare-metal environments), GPU runtimes, and hardware.Developing and maintaining validation infrastructure, performance benchmarks, and test harnesses to ensure deterministic behavior and scaling.
