About the Role
We are in search of a seasoned Lead Project Controls Scheduler to spearhead scheduling initiatives for expansive construction and modernization projects within educational facilities. In this vital position, you will oversee a team of project schedulers, collaborate closely with senior management, and ensure that project timelines and deliverables are in alignment with program objectives.
This role goes beyond merely managing dates; you will be instrumental in maintaining the trajectory of complex, multi-million-dollar projects, ensuring they remain on schedule, within budget, and meet scope requirements, ultimately contributing to the establishment of high-quality educational facilities for the community.
Your Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
- Guide and mentor Project Schedulers, ensuring their schedules are precise, feasible, and aligned with program goals.
- Collaborate with Owners’ Authorized Representatives (OARs), Senior Project Managers, contractors, and site personnel to evaluate CPM schedules, project scopes, and budgets.
- Anticipate project staffing needs and advise executive leadership on resource optimization.
Scheduling & Analysis
- Create and sustain program schedules for various project types, identifying interdependencies, logic, milestones, and constraints.
- Assess contractor baseline and updated schedules for accuracy in scope, sequencing, and compliance with contracts, providing detailed written feedback.
- Execute QA/QC on schedule submissions, reviewing critical paths, cost/resource loading, logic relationships, constraints, and milestones.
- Conduct Time Impact Analyses for change orders and negotiate delay settlements with stakeholders.
- Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses to evaluate schedule performance.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as the primary liaison between project scheduling teams, senior management, and the Program & Project Controls department.
- Lead schedule-related discussions during weekly progress meetings and other stakeholder engagements.
