About the job
ABOUT ROCKET LAB
Rocket Lab is a pioneering end-to-end space organization that offers responsive launch services, comprehensive spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and much more—all aimed at democratizing access to space. The rockets and satellites we create and launch facilitate some of the most crucial and ambitious space missions worldwide, supporting scientific exploration, Earth observation, climate change initiatives, national security, and groundbreaking technology demonstrations.
Our Electron rocket has solidified its position as the second most frequently launched U. S. rocket each year, successfully delivering over 230 satellites into orbit, while we continue to develop Neutron, our upcoming medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle designed for larger constellation deployments. Our Space Systems division is responsible for designing and fabricating a diverse array of satellites, payloads, and their components, including spacecraft that have been selected for NASA missions to the Moon and Mars, as well as components utilized in the James Webb Space Telescope.
SPACE SYSTEMS
At Rocket Lab, we’re not just launching rockets—we're shaping the future of space. Our Space Systems team constructs everything from complete spacecraft and precision payloads to the subsystems that enable them to function efficiently in space, including solar panels, flight software, star trackers, optical systems, separation systems, radios, and more.
Our Space Systems team has empowered over 1,700 missions ranging from interplanetary exploration and in-space manufacturing to national security and defense initiatives. The team has developed spacecraft, payloads, and components for missions to the Moon and Mars while collaborating with partners such as NASA, the Space Development Agency, and the U. S. Space Force. Whether it’s a singular high-performance spacecraft or a constellation of satellites, our exceptional Space Systems team is driving some of the boldest and most ambitious space missions forward.
