Role Overview: Senior Kubernetes Security Engineer Location: Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA The Senior Kubernetes Security Engineer leads security for container orchestration at scale, supporting space operations. This position shapes zero-trust foundations and secure workflows, enabling platform and development teams to deploy safely on Kubernetes across multi-cloud environments. The role owns the security framework for container operations in production and influences teams managing containerized workloads company-wide. What You Will Do Design and build security platforms and frameworks for Kubernetes environments. Establish and maintain zero-trust security models. Develop secure deployment pathways for platform and development teams. Lead security initiatives and write production code daily. Guide complex security projects from start to finish with minimal oversight. Collaborate across teams to ensure secure containerized workloads in multi-cloud production settings. Operate within an AI-native environment, using AI tools to enhance your impact. Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security in production, especially in multi-cloud environments. Technical leadership in designing and implementing security solutions for container orchestration platforms. Comfort with ambiguous, complex challenges and a record of driving projects to completion. Experience writing production code and leading strategic security initiatives. Familiarity with AI-driven workflows is expected.
