About the Team: The Materials and Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) team is vital in enabling the Terran R to fly, re-fly, and scale. Our engineers are responsible for developing, characterizing, and inspecting materials and processes across all vehicle components. From welding and additive manufacturing to advanced composites, our team operates at the intersection of innovation and execution, striking a balance between performance, reliability, cost, quality, and schedule. As we approach our first flight and beyond, the challenges become increasingly exciting, presenting opportunities to influence how we design and develop for re-use. With ownership across products, systems, and disciplines, our engineers gain expansive exposure and drive key decisions across design, manufacturing, and operational processes.
