About the job
At Orbital Materials, we harness the power of artificial intelligence to create cutting-edge data center hardware that surpasses industry standards. Our innovative AI technology allows us to simulate materials at the atomic level, testing millions of hardware configurations in the time it takes traditional methods to evaluate hundreds. This enables us to identify optimal designs that deliver unmatched specifications: 1 MW/rack, PUE < 1.04, and 12-week lead times.
Each deployment generates valuable field data that continuously refines our AI models. Enhanced models yield superior hardware, which in turn empowers even more advanced AI capabilities. This cycle of improvement is already established and is becoming increasingly efficient with every build cycle. We are not merely benefiting from advancements in AI; we are significantly accelerating its progress.
Our primary focus is on data centers, driven by the urgent market demand and stringent specifications. However, the AI-driven development process we have pioneered—encompassing materials discovery, hardware design, and manufacturing optimization—can be applied to any complex physical system. While data centers serve as our initial proof point, they are not our only target.
With operations in London, Canada, and the USA, we are expanding our teams across machine learning research, product development, mechanical engineering, and chemical engineering. If you are eager to work at the intersection of AI and material science, we would love to hear from you.
Role Overview
The Strategy & Delivery team is pivotal in assisting the Orbital executive team to identify, shape, and execute our most impactful opportunities. In this role, you will spearhead business planning efforts, develop a profound understanding of target industries (including Data Centers), and take ownership of qualifying and advancing new commercial and operational initiatives from concept to execution.
