About the job
Corgi Insurance, an AI-driven insurance provider focused on tech startups, is building out its London team. With $108 million in funding and a licensed carrier status, the company is expanding across the EU and UK. The London office is central to this growth, launching new entities and scaling operations.
Role overview
The Strategic Operations Associate works closely with the VP of Operations and senior leaders. This role covers a wide range of responsibilities, supporting the daily running of the London office and helping drive EU expansion. Flexibility is key: the work includes both organizational and administrative tasks, as well as stepping in wherever operational support is needed. Ad-hoc projects and generalist duties are common, especially as new entities launch.
What you will do
- Manage organizational and administrative work, especially for EU expansion.
- Take on a variety of generalist tasks across the startup and new entities.
- Own assigned responsibilities, escalating issues only when necessary.
- Support operational needs for both the office and ongoing expansion projects.
What we look for
- High energy and drive to succeed in a startup setting.
- Team player with a low ego, ready to pitch in on any task.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working without a set playbook.
- Trustworthy and reliable, with strong communication skills for transparency and collaboration.
- Results-focused, aiming to deliver outcomes rather than just build a resume.
Work culture
- Decisions happen quickly, and action is valued over perfection.
- Busy periods can be intense, but the team keeps up momentum even during quieter times.
- Team members are expected to bring solutions along with challenges, and internal competition helps raise the bar.
- This role suits those who want to build and contribute meaningfully, not those seeking an easy ride.
Behaviors that don’t fit
- Office politics, blame-shifting, or gossip.
- Taking constructive feedback personally instead of learning from it.
- Adding unnecessary complexity instead of simplifying processes.
- Missing commitments or deadlines.
Compensation and details
- Role based in London, with on-site or hybrid options.
- Strong focus on EU and UK expansion.
- Base salary: £55,000 to £90,000, plus equity opportunities. Compensation reflects ownership and initiative, not just experience.
