The Energy Intelligence Platform combines data, artificial intelligence, and real-time decision-making to support partners such as OVO, AGL, ENGIE, Volvo, and Volkswagen as they navigate the complexities of today’s energy systems.
This Software Engineer II role is part of the Flex team in London, following a hybrid work arrangement. The position reports to a Software Engineering Manager.
What you will do
- Design and build scalable features for the Flex platform, connecting energy retailers, grid operators, and consumers.
- Integrate new technologies, including electric vehicles, to support services like "Charge Anytime."
- Collaborate with data scientists and backend engineers to address optimization challenges central to the energy transition.
- Take responsibility for features from initial concept through ongoing improvement, focusing on reliability and maintainability.
- Write well-tested, high-quality code to support large-scale decarbonization of transport and home energy use.
- Help foster an engineering culture centered on human-focused design and continuous learning.
Compensation
Salary: £46,000 - £60,000
