Qualifications
Extensive experience in a governance or committee support role within a complex or regulated environment (charity, membership organization, higher education, public sector, or regulated professional body). Thorough understanding of charity governance and/or company secretariat practices, including regulatory compliance and best-practice governance standards. Capability to ensure governance assurance: overseeing effective committee operations, high-quality decision-making processes, and tracking decisions/actions through to completion. Proven experience in supporting risk and financial governance (risk registers/reporting, committee reporting, audit/budget/reserves papers) with confidence in quality-assuring documents for senior forums. Exceptional written communication skills, including drafting and quality-assuring Board/Committee papers and producing accurate minutes. Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion, and confidence in engaging with Trustees and senior stakeholders. Advanced digital literacy with a record of enhancing systems and processes. Governance or company secretariat qualification and/or membership of CGIUKI (desirable), or equivalent demonstrable professional practice.
