About OLIX
At OLIX, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing technology. As the demand for artificial intelligence accelerates, we face an unprecedented infrastructure challenge. Traditional hardware approaches are becoming obsolete, and the industry stands on the brink of a transformative paradigm shift. Our flagship innovation, the Optical Tensor Processing Unit (OTPU), sets a new benchmark for performance and energy efficiency, positioning OLIX as a leader in the next century's technological evolution.
The Role:
We are in search of a skilled and proactive Senior FPGA Engineer to spearhead the design and implementation of control and interface functionalities within our OTPU system. This role encompasses both the delivery of production systems and advanced hardware prototyping, requiring expertise in high-bandwidth architectures, precision timing, transceivers, and sophisticated signal processing pipelines. Collaboration is key, as you will engage with teams across FPGA, ASIC, hardware, optical, and software disciplines.
Responsibilities
Design and implement FPGA subsystems and hardware modules tailored for high-performance systems.
Develop and optimize high-speed interface subsystems, including PCIe Gen4 and multi-lane transceivers exceeding 25 Gb/s NRZ.
Implement and validate link integrity features, encompassing BER measurement and error correction (ECC, including SECDED).
Develop and integrate memory interfaces as dictated by system architecture.
Contribute to hardware prototyping initiatives in support of silicon development.
Work collaboratively with software engineers to facilitate low-level driver development and hardware control.
Engage with hardware and optical engineers to ensure seamless system integration and synchronization.
Implement timing-critical and real-time control logic.
Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and performance optimization under challenging operating conditions.
Debug complex hardware–software interactions and resolve system-level challenges.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of FPGA design experience, with a minimum of 3 years specializing in high-speed interfaces and signal processing pipelines.
Strong expertise in VHDL/Verilog, simulation tools, and hardware debugging techniques.
Proficient in using development environments and hardware description languages.
Experience with FPGA toolchains and design methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
