Job Opportunity
We are on the lookout for a full-time Motion Design Lead for our London studio, possessing extensive expertise in motion design along with a clear vision of how motion influences brand identity and systems.
This position is tailored for a seasoned motion designer who perceives motion as an integral element of brand language, crafting dynamic identities that are coherent, expressive, and scalable. You will play a pivotal role in defining how brands articulate their movements and behaviors across various platforms.
Your collaboration will involve working closely with the Executive Creative Director, Design Directors, brand designers, and technologists, contributing from initial concepts through to final delivery. In addition to project responsibilities, you will nurture a culture of innovation, research, and experimentation in motion design, elevating our studio's aspirations and proficiency in this domain.
Key Responsibilities
Motion Brand Systems and Concept
- Design and evolve motion brand systems within overarching visual identities.
- Develop engaging brand concepts that translate strategic insights into movement, rhythm, and behavior.
- Establish motion principles, guidelines, and patterns that can be applied across various touchpoints.
- Ensure that motion outputs are intentional, clear, and consistent with the broader brand systems.
Creative Delivery and Collaboration
- Lead motion design efforts on multiple projects from inception to final execution.
- Work in close collaboration with brand designers, strategists, technologists, and producers.
- Contribute to the creative direction during the initial phases, shaping ideas through motion.
- Present motion concepts and deliverables to internal teams and clients in a clear manner.
- Strike a balance between craft, experimentation, and delivery within project constraints.
Culture, Research, and Exploration
- Foster a culture of exploration, testing, and research within the realm of motion design.
- Investigate new tools, techniques, and workflows to enhance motion design practices.
