Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and implement systematic trading strategies in the natural gas markets.
Analyze extensive, high-frequency, and fundamental datasets to generate predictive signals and improve existing models.
Oversee positions, exposures, and P&L to ensure conformity with portfolio risk parameters.
Work alongside quantitative developers to transform research prototypes into production-ready trading systems.
Integrate natural gas fundamentals (storage, flows, weather, policy, infrastructure) into model development and trading strategies.
Participate in comprehensive research cycles: from idea generation to backtesting, stress testing, and performance attribution.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM-related field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, etc.).
Proficient coding skills in Python.
Previous experience in algorithmic trading, quantitative research, or a similar role across any asset class.
Demonstrated experience in natural gas markets (trading, research, or analytics).
Understanding of time-series modeling, statistical analysis, or systematic trading methodologies.
Solid grasp of financial markets and portfolio risk management concepts.
Capability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with real-time trading systems and algorithmic execution.
Familiarity with ETL pipelines and large-scale data infrastructures.
Knowledge of portfolio risk frameworks.
Graduate-level research or professional experience in quantitative finance or commodities trading.
