About the job
Join Neara, a pioneering company transforming the energy landscape by enabling utilities to prepare for extreme weather events through innovative digital modeling.
Our advanced machine learning techniques create detailed, physics-enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, which assist asset owners in identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions over millions of kilometers of infrastructure.
By simulating the impacts of severe weather and structural stress on a large scale, we empower the world’s leading utilities to detect risks, optimize their investments, and contribute to a more resilient global energy future.
Our dedicated team comprises innovative thinkers passionate about making a real-world impact. We utilize AI and machine learning to enhance everything from data classification to complex scenario analysis, fostering a culture where creativity and innovation flourish as everyone contributes to our mission. We are looking for talented, imaginative individuals to help us expand our influence across the globe.
Implementation Engineer Role
As an Implementation Engineer, you will play a critical role in converting raw utility and geospatial data into precise digital twin models of electricity networks. Utilizing GIS, LiDAR, and asset datasets, you will configure models with Neara’s schema language to ensure high engineering standards. Based in London, you will be part of the Customer Success Team, responsible for deploying the Neara platform to utility clients throughout Europe. In this collaborative position, you will assist in developing and presenting complex customer use cases.
Your Responsibilities:
Participate in the comprehensive deployment of the Neara platform for utility customers across Europe.
Ingest and manipulate large datasets (LiDAR, GIS, and asset databases) using Neara’s schema language and configuration framework.
Serve as a technical liaison for customers throughout their deployment, collaborating with a Customer Success Manager to manage relationships with utility engineers and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication at all stages.
Conduct thorough QA/QC to verify that the digital twin accurately represents real-world physics and meets customer specifications.
Develop custom reports and dashboards within the platform to provide actionable insights for utility engineers.
