If so, we invite you to join our Product R&D Technology team at On Running, where you will lead a diverse assembly of Engineers across varying technological stacks and expertise levels.
In this pivotal role, you will guide one of our core teams that underpins the digital framework of our product development processes. Your leadership will be essential in enhancing and innovating our end-to-end product creation workflows, steering your team's execution and technical strategies.

Your Impact: People, Product, and Delivery
Immediate Focus (First 3 Months):
- Foster strong relationships with the wider Engineering Team, Product Manager, and significant cross-functional stakeholders.
- Immerse yourself in current projects, deeply understanding the technical landscape of our existing ecosystem, including scope, dependencies, and timelines.
- Engage actively in shaping our strategic vision by posing insightful questions to grasp the complexities of the domain and rallying the team around shared goals.
Strategic Leadership (After 6 Months):
- Lead the engineering strategy and execution for both existing and new platforms, ensuring our systems are capable of scaling effortlessly to accommodate intricate end-to-end product development processes.
- Align our software architecture with the product vision, shaping technical direction and proposing feasible, scalable alternatives when faced with technically challenging ideas.
- Continue fostering a culture of technical excellence by advocating for high engineering standards, critical technical projects, observability, performance enhancements, and more.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to outline detailed work items such as tickets and EPICs. Set realistic timelines, proactively identify risks, and guarantee predictable, high-quality delivery of the team's roadmap.
- Talent Management: Define career progression for all team members, highlight achievements of high performers, and provide timely support for those needing improvement.
