Overall Role Purpose:The Business Architect is a pivotal role within Divisional Services, tasked with converting business strategies into actionable operating models that cater to divisional requirements. You will be responsible for sustaining the operating model for the division while ensuring the quality and alignment of architectural decisions with high-level business requirements and other architectural outputs, thus guaranteeing optimal solutions that align with enterprise business architecture.Key Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and implementing a framework that guides business divisions in defining their operational approach to realize the company’s vision and strategic objectives. This includes applying strategic analysis methodologies to dissect problems and articulate necessary changes.Creating comprehensive analyses, materials, and recommendations for Division Senior Leaders, facilitating approvals and resolving cross-divisional impacts while ensuring a standardized approach and high-quality design work organization-wide.Identifying, challenging, and articulating modifications to the operating model, addressing strategic inquiries to help achieve organizational goals. This includes delivering Program and Project Business Architecture outputs such as Target Operating Models (TOMs), high-level designs, and impact and risk assessments that outline essential organizational components, the scale of change, and the transition needed to meet strategic objectives.Spotting opportunities for business innovation and shaping design proposals to advance these initiatives; promoting innovation at the divisional level to secure quick wins and enhance business benefits, all while adhering to the division’s business architecture roadmap.Contributing to relevant communities of practice by providing thought leadership, coaching, and mentoring fellow employees to enhance the overall business architecture capabilities within the service.Minimum CriteriaProven experience as a Business Architect or Business Analyst within professional services, financial services, or a regulated public sector environment.Experience in conducting market, customer, and value assessments, leveraging insights to influence business architecture in support of strategic objectives.Demonstrated experience in designing target operating models for large organizations and guiding business units through the strategic development and execution via business architecture.Essential CriteriaIn-depth knowledge of architectural frameworks, methodologies, and mapping standards, with a focus on enterprise business architecture.
