ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Senior Optical Engineer to lead the design of innovative product lines for spaceborne systems. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a diverse, interdisciplinary technical team to define optical architectures, execute optical design and analysis, and create prototypes that will undergo rigorous ground and flight testing, ultimately maturing into fully realized products.
Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in designing and delivering robust optical systems that can withstand challenging environmental conditions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive architectural decisions and optical trade-offs for innovative optical systems aligned with broad mission objectives.
- Design high-performance lenses and optical components for advanced imaging systems.
- Analyze and articulate optical performance requirements while considering multidisciplinary engineering constraints.
- Engineer and tolerate intricate optical systems from visible to infrared wavelengths to fulfill performance standards for both ground and airborne applications.
- Establish and evaluate test setups, procedures, and data to ensure seamless transition of products and systems from R&D to production.
